For almost 40 years the Archway Bookshop has provided a huge choice of books and excellent service to its customers. Owners, Chris and Brenda (Bee) Painton, are proud to continue this tradition - and add some new features...
Many of our customers already reserve or order books by 'phone, but now you can also talk to us by email: browse@archwaybookshop.co.uk We monitor daily at about 11.45 a.m. to pick up orders, and again mid-afternoon.
Although we always have a stock of around 9000 books (more at Christmas time), if our shelves do not hold the particular volume you'd like, there's no need to plan a trip to Exeter or Taunton - Archway offers an ordering service at no extra cost.
95% of orders placed before 12.00 are available for collection from mid-afternoon on the next working day. We will also 'phone or email (your choice) within 24 hours of receiving your order to let you know that it is available for collection (or why it isn't and when it will be). Beat that, Amazon!
Also in stock is a huge range of quality greetings cards to suit all tastes.
We welcome the opportunity to keep tickets for local concerts and shows, and are delighted that our 'notice board' is a sought-after information point for the community.
